Fuel Supply Powerplants

As the need for higher efficiency power plants increases, so does the demand for equipments which ensure proper gas fuel flow controllability while maintaining the required pressure ratios across the combustion fuel nozzles.

The gas fuel system’s design ascertains that the design pressure of the gas turbine is not exceeded.

Overpressure protection will be provided as required by applicable codes and standards. In addition to minimum and maximum pressures, the gas turbine is also sensitive to gas fuel pressure variations.

Sudden increases in supply pressure may potentially trip the turbine due to high temperature conditions. Sudden drops in supply pressure may destabilize gas pressure and flow control.

Because of this, there is a need for gas pressure regulators which can maintain a very accurate outlet pressure in static and dynamic conditions.

Gorter Controls supplies this equipment to various customers worldwide. With the experience gained over the past decades, Gorter Controls has designed a calculation method and a simulation model to predict the behavior of the regulator in various situations. This is to ensure optimal equipment operation, even in worst case conditions.
